About me

Hi! I'm Nikolaos Spyropoulos, a 22-year-old International Master from Greece. I reached a 2400 rating at just 14–15 years old and earned my IM title at 19. I want to use the experience I gained on my own chess journey to help others reach their full potential.

My goal is to help players of all levels improve through personalized training, detailed game analysis, and practical training games.

I offer both individual coaching and group lessons, tailored to the players' levels and goals.

Playing experience

I have competed in numerous national and international tournaments, achieving 5th place at the World Youth Chess Championship U14 and 2nd place at the World Online Rapid Cup U18.

Teaching experience

I have years of coaching experience working with players of all ages and rating levels. I am especially interested in helping motivated players improve, overcome their weaknesses, and reach their full potential. I also guide my students throughout tournaments, helping them prepare for their opponents and perform at their best.

Best skills

What sets me apart as a coach is that I reached a 2400 rating at just 14–15 years old. Having developed my chess strength at such a young age, I can share the knowledge, skills, and mindset that helped me get there. My goal is to help my students develop their own talent, understand the game more deeply, and reach their full potential.

Teaching methodology

My coaching focuses on game analysis, tactical calculation, positional understanding, and practical decision-making. I analyze my students' games and play training games with them to understand how they think, identify their strengths and weaknesses, and recognize recurring mistakes. I then help them correct these mistakes, improve their thinking process, and make better decisions over the board. My goal is not just to improve their chess knowledge, but to help them become stronger, more confident, and more independent players.
