Hello! I am Kostas Tsiamis, a FIDE Master and certified FIDE Trainer from Athens, Greece, with over 25 years of professional coaching experience.
I started playing chess at the age of 6, and since then chess has been a lifelong passion. Over the years, I have competed at national and international level and have helped players of different ages and playing strengths improve their understanding of the game.
As a coach, I focus on understanding each student's individual needs, strengths and weaknesses and creating a structured training plan that helps them make consistent and lasting progress.
I offer online chess lessons in both English and Greek.

Teaching methodology
My coaching begins with an analysis of the student's games to identify strengths, weaknesses, recurring mistakes and areas with the greatest potential for improvement.
Whenever possible, I analyze around 20 classical, rapid or blitz games to build a clear picture of the student's playing style and decision-making process.
During our lessons, we focus not only on correcting weaknesses, but also on improving the thinking process, calculation, positional understanding and practical decision-making. Depending on the student's needs, we also work on opening preparation, middlegame strategy and endgame technique, while studying instructive classical and modern games.
Homework and personalized training material are provided after the lessons, including exercises and additional resources on openings, middlegames and endgames.
My goal is not simply to teach chess concepts, but to help each student understand their own game, develop a better thinking process and make consistent long-term progress.
Lessons are available online via Zoom, in English or Greek.
