About me
Playing experience
I have been playing chess since the age of 8. Throughout my career, I have been very successful in youth competitions, winning the Polish Youth Championship twice and finishing second twice. Thanks to those accomplishments I was able to participate in World and European Youth Championships (2014,16,18,22). I have achieved strong results across different types and formats of competition:
Open tournaments: Winner of the III Kingston Invitational(2024) and Gora Sw. Anny Open(2019), joint 3rd in the British Chess Championship and British U21 Champion(2024).
Round-robin tournaments: Winner of the Hull 4NCL International GM norm(2021) and 2nd in the Mindsport Masters GM norm(2022).
Team competitions: 4NCL winner with Wood Green (2025/26) and European Youth Team Champion with the Polish national youth team (2022).
On top of my OTB career, I am also an active online player with 2900 bullet/blitz rating.

Other experiences
Outside of chess, I hold a Master's degree in Computer Science.
Best skills
I've always preferred active and dynamic chess, which is reflected in my own games. I strongly believe that calculation and tactical awareness are the most crucial skills in chess combined with a deep understanding of openings. I have been a 1.e4 player most of my career, so I have extensive opening knowledge across various lines. As Black, the Sicilian Defence has been my main choice throughout my career, giving me extensive experience and the opportunity to discover many interesting ideas.

Teaching methodology
I believe that calculation, opening preparation and analysis of your games are key aspects of modern chess. Therefore our main focus during the lessons will be on improving your calculation skills, tactical awareness and opening repertoire. Alongside the lessons, there are a number of things I offer:
Analysis of your games: I will ask you to send your last OTB games before the first lesson to identify your strengths, weaknesses and areas for improvement. If you don't have OTB games, then I will take a look at your online games. We will also analyse together the games that you play to see what is working and what still needs to be improved.
Regular homework: After each lesson I will provide you with the homework that is appropriate for your level and reflects what we learned during the lessons. In my opinion this is a great way to maintain consistency in training .
Opening preparation: Alongside the lessons and the homework, you will get the opening notes and the model games.
