Battle of 37 teams

20 leaders per team

Hi Kids--Dr. Brooks and chessdogs Check and Mate here!

I am so happy you are here today. SplatterDay is starting to cook! Dozens and dozens of fun kids from across America will join us today, and I hope you have a great time!

Can I tell you my opinion of how I think you should judge your performance today? Here it is:

If you are new this year, or kind of a beginner, winning three games is all you are after. Losing games is what makes players strong, and I urge to to view every game, especially those which you lose, as a teaching opportunity. How did they beat me? Should I use that same tactic on others in the future? Yes you should!

If you win any fewer than 3, keep coming back every Saturday and keep pushing, since every Splatterday gets you much better, very fast. If you win 3 or more games, consider yourself a big winner!

Looking forward to a great year!

Dr. Brooks
