Would be nice if the EB of US Chess had some representation, but I guess we can't have everything

A shameful boycott. Lichess should really be ashamed of themselves.

Finally! Thank you so much Lichess!

This is probably good; however, I will note that the Safe Play training is not chess-specific. The training is as if we're going to be doing Tennis or Basketball or something. At best, the training sheds responsibility from US Chess onto tournament directors, who are often volunteers. The problem within US Chess had to do with leadership, and not tournament directors.
While it is true that leadership has changed, it should be noted US Chess didn't really act properly until those people left leadership roles. Most of them termed out, and were not specifically voted out. The electorate continued to vote those people in, despite allegations, wrongdoing, and unresolved ethics cases that were allowed to linger for a long time.

The female representation they recently had was no good, as they protected the board and its bad decisions.
I do agree it would be good to have representation that actually represents!

About time, these performative politics don't belong on a chess website
